Step 01
When Osmani García came to Art Dental Studio, he wasn't simply looking to improve the appearance of his smile. He needed a much more comprehensive solution. He had missing teeth, severely damaged teeth, and a previous Smile Design that needed to be completely reworked. But there was another challenge: Osmani had a deep fear of the dentist.
Step 02
For years, that fear had prevented him from allowing dentists to fully address his dental needs. When he finally decided to take the step, Dr. Vivian Menendez and the Art Dental Studio team approached his treatment progressively, completing his smile in stages rather than trying to do everything at once. The treatment included restoring missing teeth, replacing the previous Smile Design, and rebuilding both the upper and lower portions of his smile.
Step 03
The goal wasn't only aesthetic. Missing posterior teeth were also replaced so Osmani could properly chew again. But the aesthetic design was highly personal. Osmani didn't want the stereotypical ultra-white, oversized smile. He wanted something that looked natural, youthful, and uniquely his. He specifically asked for slightly more pronounced canine teeth inspired by the look of a young lion.
Step 04
Enrique incorporated that request into the design while maintaining the natural proportions and characteristics of the overall smile. The result was created through a combination of digital planning and handcrafted artistry. After the digital design, Enrique personally works the restorations by hand, refining the anatomy, texture, color variations, and individual details of each tooth.
Step 05
That handcrafted approach is what allowed Osmani's new smile to maintain the natural appearance he wanted—rather than the artificial, overly uniform look he was afraid of. But perhaps the most meaningful part of the transformation was what happened to Osmani's fear. He arrived expecting the dental experience to be painful and intimidating.
Step 06
Instead, careful anesthesia techniques and a gradual treatment process helped him overcome the fear that had kept him from completing his dental treatment for years. By the end, he described his experience as feeling like he had “just been born.”
