Dr. Ricardo Romero is our oral and maxillofacial surgeon, with more than a decade of surgical experience. His presence lets Art Dental Studio handle implants and surgical cases in-house instead of referring patients to outside specialists.
Oral and maxillofacial surgery is the discipline that handles the surgical side of dentistry — from dental implants and wisdom-teeth extractions to alveolar ridge reconstruction and biopsies. Having that specialty in-house is what lets Art Dental Studio plan and complete complex cases under one roof, coordinated with the restorative and cosmetic work that follows.
Dr. Romero trained as a dentist and specialist in maxillofacial surgery at the College of Dentistry in Havana, Cuba, and completed the International Educated Dentist Program at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. Over more than ten years he has worked as a dentist and oral and maxillofacial surgeon, including a medical mission in Africa and time on a children’s hospital cleft lip and palate surgical team.
His clinical focus at Art Dental Studio includes dental implants, oral surgery, wisdom-teeth extraction, biopsies, alveolar ridge reconstruction and oral cancer screening. He has also contributed to the professional literature, with work published in the Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology journal.
